Questions
Does Hoot upload my recordings?
No. Sound is analysed on your iPhone and clips stay there. There is no server that receives audio.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Recording, scores and trends work with the iPhone alone. The Watch adds gentle taps when you snore and your wrist position.
Why does Hoot ask for Health access?
Only so the Watch app can run a workout session, the one way watchOS lets an app stay awake all night. Hoot never saves a workout or reads your health data.
Can Hoot tell me if I have sleep apnea?
No. It is not a medical device. If you notice pauses in breathing or wake up gasping, talk to a doctor.
How do I cancel?
In the Settings app: your name, then Subscriptions, then Hoot. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.
