By downloading or using Yolk you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app does

Rings alarms through iOS AlarmKit, so they sound even when the iPhone is on silent or in a Focus mode.
Asks you to finish a mission — sums, typing, colour tiles, shaking, squats, steps, or photographing a spot you chose — before the alarm can be switched off.
Can arm a wake-up check a few minutes later, to catch the mornings you got up, turned it off and went back to bed.
Tracks habit alarms and a wake-up streak, and grows an on-screen creature as you keep it.
Plays a sound you pick from nineteen bundled ones, or one you import yourself.

Measurements are estimates, not certified survey data. Yolk schedules alarms through AlarmKit, which is Apple's own alarm system, so an alarm rings on silent and through a Focus mode. It still depends on the iPhone being switched on and charged, and on iOS itself. Treat it as an alarm clock, not as a guarantee: for anything you genuinely cannot miss, set a second alarm somewhere else.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Yolk on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are observed. You may not resell the app, redistribute it, or attempt to extract its source code.

What is free

The alarm itself is free, and so is every mission, all nineteen bundled sounds, importing your own sound, habit alarms, the streak, the creature, and the wake-up check that catches you going back to bed. The free plan shows ads. Yolk PRO removes the ads and unlocks the extras built on top of the basics.

Prices are the United States prices and are shown here for reference. The App Store shows the price in your own currency, which may differ.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings, not in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment. It does not renew and is not a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase — request one through Apple.

Your content

The plans and measurements you create are yours. They stay on your device; we neither hold them nor claim any right to them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Yolk to break the law, to record or measure people without their knowledge, or in a place where you are not permitted to use a camera. You are responsible for having the right to be where you are measuring.

No warranty, and the limits of our liability

Yolk is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate to any particular tolerance.

You are responsible for verifying any measurement before you rely on it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for material bought in the wrong quantity, material cut to the wrong size, work quoted at the wrong price, or any other loss arising from a measurement produced by the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to the app and to these terms

Features may be added, changed or removed as the app develops. If these terms change, the effective date above changes and the updated version is published here. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
