By downloading or using Metronomly you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app does

Plays a steady click from 20 to 300 BPM in any time signature from 1/4 to 12/8, with subdivisions and per-beat accents.
Draws a wooden pyramid metronome whose weight you slide to set the tempo, and whose pendulum swings with the beat.
Can flash the screen and tap with haptics on the beat, and keep playing in the background or with the screen locked.
Saves exercises as presets and lets you share one as a link that opens in Metronomly.
Runs a practice session with a timer and a tempo trainer that speeds up as you go.
Offers Home Screen widgets, a Control Center button and a Live Activity that start, stop and show the metronome.

Metronomly keeps time within the limits of your iPhone. The click is scheduled against the audio clock and stays steady for long sessions, but what you hear still depends on your iPhone: Bluetooth headphones and speakers add their own delay, and iOS can pause audio for a call or another app. The visual pendulum and flash follow the audio, not the other way round.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Metronomly on devices you own or control, for as long as these terms are observed. You may not resell the app, redistribute it, or attempt to extract its source code.

What is free

Keeping time is free: every tempo from 20 to 300 BPM, tap tempo, every time signature, subdivisions, accents and silent beats, the flash and haptics, background play, widgets, the Control Center button and the Live Activity, plus 4 sounds and 3 saved presets. The free version shows ads. Metronomly Pro is a single purchase, never a subscription: it removes the ads and adds unlimited presets, the practice mode with the tempo trainer, and all 10 sounds. It is shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Prices are the United States prices and are shown here for reference. The App Store shows the price in your own currency, which may differ.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings, not in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.
The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment. It does not renew and is not a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase — request one through Apple.

Your content

The presets you save are yours. They stay on your device; we neither hold them nor claim any right to them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Metronomly to break the law. Shared preset links contain only the exercise settings; do not use them to send anything else.

No warranty, and the limits of our liability

Metronomly is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that playback will never be interrupted by a call, another app, Bluetooth latency or iOS itself.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for a performance, recording, lesson or exam affected by the click or by an interruption. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to the app and to these terms

Features may be added, changed or removed as the app develops. If these terms change, the effective date above changes and the updated version is published here. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
