Privacy Policy

Metronomly is a metronome. Your tempo, settings and saved exercises live on your iPhone. There is no account and no server of ours. On the free version the app shows ads, which is the one place another company is involved, and that is spelled out below.

What is collected

Your settings and saved exercises

The tempo, sound, time signature, settings and presets are stored on your device only, in the app's own storage. A small summary (the current tempo and your first three presets) is shared with the app's own widgets on the same iPhone so they can show it. Nothing is uploaded, and deleting the app deletes it.

Shared exercise links

When you share a preset, the app builds a link containing its tempo, time signature, subdivision, accents, sound and name, and hands it to the iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it. We do not receive it.

Advertising, on the free version only

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is a separate company and receives technical information from your device in order to serve and measure those ads. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, it may also use the advertising identifier to make ads less repetitive; if you decline, ads still appear but are not personalised. Google's own privacy policy governs what it does with that information. Metronomly Pro removes ads entirely.

Purchases

Metronomly Pro is billed by Apple; we never see your payment details. RevenueCat processes the receipt on our behalf so the app knows whether Pro is unlocked, and receives a random identifier generated for your install rather than your name or email.

What is not collected

• We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to sign in to.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
• We do not collect your location.
• We do not use the microphone and do not record audio.
• We do not use the camera or read your photos.
• We do not sell your data to anyone, and we operate no server that stores it.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in Metronomly is written to the app's own storage on your device. If you have iCloud Backup switched on, Apple may include that storage in your device backup — that is a setting on your iPhone, between you and Apple, and we have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes the settings and presets it holds.

Children

Metronomly is a metronome and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because the app does not collect personal information at all.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, export and erasure apply to personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: there is no account, no profile, and no server-side record connected to you. Your data is on your device, where you can read, export and delete it yourself at any time. If you would like this confirmed in writing, email us.

Third parties

Apple processes every purchase and is the merchant of record. Apple's handling of your payment information is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

RevenueCat tells the app whether a purchase is currently active. It receives a randomly generated identifier and Apple's purchase receipt. It receives nothing you save and nothing that identifies you personally.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page changes with it, and the updated version is published here.
